A wholesome and delicious banana bread recipe specially crafted for dogs, using nutritious oat flour, ripe banana, and coconut milk, providing a healthy treat free from harmful ingredients.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1½ cups Oat Flour
  • ¾ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 Ripe Banana
  • 1 Egg
  • ¼ cup Coconut Milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). If your mini loaf pans are not non-stick, grease them with coconut oil or line the bottoms with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the oat flour, baking soda, and ground cinnamon thoroughly.
  3. Mash Banana: In a separate mixing bowl, mash the ripe banana until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add Wet Ingredients: To the mashed banana, add the egg and coconut milk. Mix these wet ingredients well to achieve a consistent texture.
  5. Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Use a mixer to blend everything uniformly into a batter.
  6. Prepare for Baking: Divide the batter evenly between two mini loaf pans, spreading it out to ensure even baking.
  7. Bake: Place the pans in the preheated oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean when the bread is ready.
  8. Cool: Once baked, remove the loaves from the pans and transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely to room temperature before serving.
  9. Serve: Slice the cooled banana bread and serve as a healthy treat for your dog.

Notes

  • Ensure all ingredients, especially cinnamon and baking soda, are safe in small quantities for dogs.
  • Use ripe bananas for natural sweetness and better texture.
  • Store the bread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • You can freeze the banana bread slices for longer storage and thaw before serving.
  • Consult your veterinarian before introducing new treats, especially if your dog has dietary restrictions.
