This Chicken Alfredo Pizza combines the creamy richness of homemade Alfredo sauce with tender cooked chicken and gooey melted cheeses on a crispy pizza crust. It’s a delicious twist on traditional pizza, perfect for a comforting meal that brings Italian flavors to your table.

Ingredients

Pizza Base

  • 1 homemade pizza crust

Alfredo Sauce

  • 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, softened, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese, plus a little extra for topping on the pizza
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or more to taste

Toppings

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Make the sauce: Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Mix in the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually stir in the milk, continuing to stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Add the parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper, and stir well. Once combined, set the Alfredo sauce aside.
  2. Prepare Pizza crust: Roll or stretch your homemade pizza dough into a large circular shape. For thicker crusts, pre-bake the pizza crust on a pizza stone or baking sheet at 425°F for 4-5 minutes to help set the base. If using a thin crust, skip pre-baking to avoid dryness.
  3. Assemble the pizza: Spread a generous layer of the prepared Alfredo sauce evenly over the pizza crust. Sprinkle a thin layer of shredded mozzarella cheese on top, then scatter the chopped cooked chicken evenly. Add another layer of mozzarella cheese over the chicken and finish with a sprinkle of extra parmesan cheese for added flavor and browning.
  4. Bake: Place the assembled pizza in an oven preheated to 425°F. Bake for 8-12 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning the crust or toppings.
  5. Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven, allow it to cool slightly for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Pre-baking the crust is optional and mainly recommended for thicker pizza doughs to prevent sogginess.
  • You can substitute cooked chicken with leftover rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Feel free to add extras like spinach, mushrooms, or red pepper flakes to customize the pizza.
  • Use freshly grated parmesan for the best flavor and melting quality.
