Ingredients

Rolls

  • 1 package (12 count) Hawaiian Rolls

Filling

  • 1 (26 ounce) jar Alfredo sauce or homemade Alfredo sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken breast
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Topping

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Additional grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and allow it to fully preheat while you prepare the rolls.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the Alfredo sauce, shredded cooked chicken, grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Prepare the baking dish: Lightly grease a casserole dish or baking pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking and to allow easy cleanup.
  4. Prepare the rolls: Place the Hawaiian rolls in the dish. Using a sharp knife, cut a deep “X” across the top of each roll without slicing all the way through, creating pockets for the filling.
  5. Stuff the rolls: Spoon a generous amount of the Alfredo chicken mixture into each cut opening of the rolls. If desired, sprinkle extra grated Parmesan on top for additional cheesiness.
  6. Add olive oil: Drizzle olive oil evenly over the stuffed rolls to help achieve a golden, crispy top while baking.
  7. Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese filling is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm: Remove from the oven and serve immediately while warm and gooey for the best taste experience.

Notes

  • You can use homemade Alfredo sauce for a fresher and creamier texture.
  • Adding a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese on top before baking adds extra gooeyness.
  • To make it spicier, add a pinch of red pepper flakes into the filling.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven.
  • Using rotisserie chicken can save time and add extra flavor.
