This vegan Chili Lime Mango Sorbet is a refreshing frozen treat that balances creamy, tangy, sweet, and spicy flavors. Made with frozen mango, full-fat coconut milk, fresh lime juice and zest, maple syrup, and chili lime seasoning, this sorbet offers a unique and vibrant flavor profile perfect for hot days or as a light dessert.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups frozen mango
  • 1/2 cup canned full fat coconut milk
  • Juice and zest of one large lime
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1–2 tsp chili lime seasoning

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Gather 3 cups of frozen mango, 1/2 cup of full-fat canned coconut milk, the juice and zest from one large lime, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, and 1 to 2 teaspoons of chili lime seasoning.
  2. Blend: Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender or food processor. Use the tamper if available to ensure all frozen mango chunks are fully blended into a smooth mixture. If using a food processor, periodically scrape down the sides to ensure even blending until completely smooth.
  3. Transfer and Garnish: Pour the sorbet into a loaf pan or desired container. Optionally, top with coconut flakes and an extra sprinkle of chili lime seasoning for garnish and added texture.
  4. Freeze: Cover the container tightly with foil to prevent freezer burn and place it in the freezer until firm, typically for a few hours, before serving.

Notes

  • Use full-fat canned coconut milk and avoid shaking the can before opening to scoop the creamy top layer for maximum creaminess.
  • You can substitute the coconut milk with any vegan creamer of your choice to adjust flavor or texture.
  • Frozen mango can be store-bought or home-frozen by cutting ripe mango chunks and freezing them on a parchment-lined tray for a few hours.
