This Classic Crock Pot Spinach Artichoke Dip is a warm, cheesy, and creamy appetizer that’s incredibly easy to prepare. Combining fresh spinach, tender artichoke hearts, and a blend of cheeses, this slow-cooked dip is perfect for parties, game day gatherings, or any casual entertaining occasion.

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 10-ounce bag fresh spinach, roughly chopped
  • 1 14-ounce can artichoke hearts, roughly chopped
  • 1 8-ounce block cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the chopped spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, cubed cream cheese, sour cream, shredded mozzarella, shredded Parmesan, and minced garlic into a small crock pot. Stir all ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Slow Cook: Place the lid on the crock pot and set it to LOW heat. Cook for a total of 2 hours. After the first hour, remove the lid and stir the dip thoroughly to ensure even cooking and melting of the cheeses. Then replace the lid and continue cooking for an additional hour.
  3. Adjust Seasoning and Serve: After cooking, stir the dip well and taste it. Add salt and pepper as needed to your preference. Serve the warm spinach artichoke dip with crackers, chips, or fresh bread for dipping.

Notes

  • Use fresh spinach for the best texture and flavor; it cooks down nicely in the slow cooker.
  • Be sure to stir the dip halfway through cooking to promote even heating and prevent sticking.
  • This recipe can be doubled if you have a larger crock pot and want more servings.
  • Serve immediately for best consistency; the dip may thicken as it cools.
  • To reheat, warm gently in the crock pot or microwave, stirring occasionally.
