This Easy Baked Peaches recipe features ripe but slightly firm fresh peaches baked with a luscious blend of butter, pure maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla. The result is a warm, naturally sweet, and comforting dish perfect for breakfast toppings or a simple, elegant dessert.

Ingredients

Peach Mixture

  • 4 medium-large fresh peaches, ripe but slightly firm
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¾ teaspoon vanilla bean paste or ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the peaches evenly.
  2. Prepare Peaches: Slice the peaches into moderately thick slices to retain their shape during baking. Place them evenly in a 9.5-inch round baking dish; alternatively, an 8×8 or 9×9 inch dish works well.
  3. Mix Topping: In a separate bowl, combine the melted salted butter, pure maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and vanilla bean paste or extract. Stir these ingredients until well blended.
  4. Coat Peaches: Pour the butter-syrup mixture over the sliced peaches. Gently stir to ensure all peach slices are evenly coated without breaking them apart.
  5. Bake: Bake the peaches in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, until the juices are bubbling and the peaches soften but still maintain their shape.
  6. Cool and Serve: Remove the baking dish and allow the peaches to cool at room temperature for about 15 minutes. This resting time helps thicken the fruit juices. Serve warm.

  • Serving Suggestions: Enjoy spooned over oatmeal, yogurt, pancakes, waffles or French toast for a flavorful breakfast boost.

  • Storage: Store leftover baked peaches tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving to restore warmth and softness.
