These Easy Big Mac Sliders are a fun and delicious way to enjoy the iconic flavors of a Big Mac in a smaller, party-perfect size. Ground beef is baked into a flat layer, then stacked with a homemade Big Mac-style sauce, American cheese, pickles, onions, and shredded lettuce inside soft Hawaiian slider buns. They are baked twice to melt the cheese and toast the buns, finishing with a buttery, sesame seed topping. Perfect for game day, gatherings, or a tasty dinner treat.

Ingredients

Slider Components

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 12 slider buns (preferably Hawaiian-style)
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Big Mac Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 2 tbsp pickle relish
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare baking dish: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. Make the Big Mac sauce: In a medium bowl, thoroughly combine the mayonnaise, pickle relish, yellow mustard, paprika, sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth. Place the sauce in the refrigerator to chill and develop flavor.
  3. Prepare the beef layer: Spread the ground beef evenly into the prepared baking dish, pressing it down to form a flat, even layer. Season the beef with salt and pepper according to your taste.
  4. Bake the beef: Place the baking dish in the oven and cook the beef layer for 10 to 12 minutes, or until fully cooked through. After baking, drain any excess fat and carefully transfer the beef to a cutting board. Cut the beef into 12 equal square portions to fit each slider.
  5. Assemble the sliders: Slice the slider buns horizontally. Arrange the bottom halves in a clean baking dish. Spread a spoonful of the chilled Big Mac sauce on each bun bottom. Top with a square of cooked beef, a slice of American cheese, and sprinkle diced onions evenly over the cheese.
  6. Top and prepare for final bake: Place the top halves of the buns over each assembled slider. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds evenly across to create a golden crust.
  7. Final bake: Return the sliders to the oven and bake uncovered for 8 to 10 minutes, until the cheese melts and the tops of the buns turn golden and toasted.
  8. Add cold toppings and serve: Remove the sliders from the oven. Carefully lift each top bun and add shredded lettuce and pickle slices. Replace the tops and serve the sliders warm for the best taste experience.

Notes

  • You can substitute the Hawaiian-style slider buns with any soft dinner rolls if desired.
  • If you prefer, you can prepare the Big Mac sauce ahead of time and keep it refrigerated for up to 3 days.
  • For juicier beef, avoid overbaking; check doneness at 10 minutes.
  • These sliders can be served with extra Big Mac sauce on the side for dipping.
  • Optionally, add a slice of tomato or extra pickles to customize your sliders.
