Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Sauce

  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Optional Toppings

  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare meatball mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix gently until just combined to avoid tough meatballs.
  2. Form meatballs: Using your hands, shape the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs. Place each formed meatball evenly spaced on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Bake the meatballs: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 20 to 25 minutes until they are cooked through and lightly browned. Use a meat thermometer to confirm they have reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  4. Simmer in sauce: In a large skillet, combine the tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Add the baked meatballs to the skillet and simmer over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to coat the meatballs evenly with sauce and develop flavor.

  • Reheating: Reheat in the oven at 350°F (180°C) for 10–15 minutes or in the microwave for 1–2 minutes.
