This Garlic Butter Brazilian Steak recipe features tender skirt steak cooked to perfection and topped with a rich, aromatic garlic butter sauce. It’s a simple yet flavorful dish that captures the essence of Brazilian-style steak, perfect for a quick and sumptuous meal.

Ingredients

Steak

  • 2 lbs skirt steak
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 6 tsp garlic, minced
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak: Cut the skirt steak to fit your skillet. Pat the meat dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until very hot. Add the steak and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or cook longer depending on your preferred doneness. Once cooked, transfer the steak to a plate and let it rest to retain juices.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In another skillet, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and stir continuously with a spatula until the garlic begins to brown lightly. Remove from heat immediately to prevent burning and transfer the garlic butter to a bowl.
  4. Serve: Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips. Pour the warm garlic butter over the sliced steak. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • Resting the steak after cooking allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a juicier bite.
  • Be careful not to burn the garlic; cook it gently over low heat and remove promptly once browned.
  • Slicing against the grain helps to tenderize the steak for a better eating experience.
  • Serving with side dishes like rice, beans, or a fresh salad complements this flavorful steak well.
