This quick and flavorful dish is perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner, featuring a delightful blend of savory steak, sweet bell peppers, and rich parmesan flavors.

Ingredients

Steak and Seasoning

  • 2 steaks, strip, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 teaspoons steak seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Vegetables

  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 zucchini, chopped
  • 10 ounces grape tomatoes, halved

Pasta and Sauce

  • 18 ounces fresh cheese tortellini
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese, shredded, plus more for garnish
  • ¼ cup Buffalo Wild Wings parmesan garlic sauce
  • Parsley, fresh chopped, for optional garnish

Instructions

  1. Season Steak: Season the strip steak pieces with steak seasoning evenly and set them aside for a moment to absorb the flavors.
  2. Cook Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the steak bites and cook without stirring for 2 minutes to allow browning. Stir and continue cooking for another 2 minutes until the steak pieces are golden brown on all sides.
  3. Sauté Vegetables: Add sliced yellow onions, bell peppers, and halved grape tomatoes to the skillet with the steak. Stir to combine and cook for about 5 minutes until the vegetables soften and release their aroma.
  4. Add Tortellini and Broth: Pour in the fresh cheese tortellini and chicken broth. Cover the skillet and allow it to cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the tortellini becomes tender and cooked through.
  5. Incorporate Cheese and Sauce: Remove the lid and stir in shredded parmesan cheese and the Buffalo Wild Wings parmesan garlic sauce until everything is well combined and the cheese melts into a creamy sauce coating the tortellini and steak bites.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the dish with freshly chopped parsley and additional parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Don’t overcrowd the pot: Cook steak bites and vegetables in batches if needed to ensure they sear properly and don’t steam, achieving better texture and flavor.
  • Use fresh tortellini: Fresh cheese tortellini provides the best texture and taste. If using frozen, adjust cooking time accordingly.
  • Deglaze the pan: Consider deglazing the pan with a splash of chicken broth after cooking steak and vegetables to incorporate browned bits for added flavor.
  • Adjust seasonings: Taste as you cook and adjust seasoning to your preference for optimal flavor.
