Create adorable Ghostbusters Stay Puft Marshmallows, perfect for spooky celebrations or themed parties. This easy no-bake recipe uses large marshmallows dipped in smooth white chocolate to form the iconic Stay Puft Marshmallow Man figure, decorated with candy eyes, powdered sugar, and a cute smile drawn with an edible marker.

Ingredients

Marshmallow Body

  • 9 large marshmallows

Coating and Decoration

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Black edible marker, for facial details
  • Candy eyes, 6 pieces

Optional

  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream (for creamier chocolate coating)

Instructions

  1. Melt the Coating: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate and vegetable shortening. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted. If desired, stir in heavy cream for a creamier texture.
  2. Assemble the Body: Dip the bottom of one large marshmallow into the melted white chocolate and place it onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to form the base. Carefully stack two more marshmallows on top, dipping each bottom in chocolate, to build the body.
  3. Coat the Structure: Using a spoon or spatula, coat the entire marshmallow stack with the melted white chocolate ensuring full coverage. This will help hold the marshmallows together and create the Stay Puft look.
  4. Add Eyes and Allow to Set: Immediately attach candy eyes while the chocolate is still wet. Use a toothpick if needed for precise adjustments.
  5. Finish Decoration: Once the chocolate has hardened, lightly dust the figure with powdered sugar for a snowy effect. Use a black edible marker to carefully draw a friendly smile on the marshmallow face.

Notes

  • Ensure the white chocolate is completely smooth to create an even coating and avoid lumps.
  • Use a toothpick to fine-tune the placement of candy eyes for perfect alignment.
  • Adding a tablespoon of heavy cream to the chocolate melt will make the coating creamier and easier to work with.
  • Work quickly when coating and attaching eyes so the chocolate doesn’t harden before finishing.
  • Store finished marshmallows in a cool, dry place to maintain shape and texture.
