Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 8 bags green tea
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 3 tablespoons honey

Fruit and Garnish

  • 4 cups assorted fresh fruit, such as nectarine wedges, lemon or lime slices, blueberries, and/or raspberries
  • Fresh mint (for garnish)

Soda

  • 1 liter plain sparkling water, chilled

Instructions

  1. Brew the Tea: Add the green tea bags to the boiling water and let them steep for 2 to 3 minutes until the tea is lightly brewed.
  2. Sweeten the Tea: Remove and discard the tea bags, then stir in the honey until fully dissolved. Cover the tea and place it in the refrigerator to chill thoroughly.
  3. Prepare the Fruit: While the tea is chilling, slice and prepare the assorted fresh fruits such as nectarine wedges, lemon or lime slices, blueberries, and raspberries to your liking.
  4. Assemble the Drink: Divide the chilled tea among eight to ten 12-ounce glasses. Add a portion of the fresh fruit to each glass.
  5. Add Sparkling Water and Garnish: Fill each glass with chilled plain sparkling water, then top with fresh mint leaves for aroma and garnish. Serve immediately for best fizz and freshness.

Notes

  • Steeping green tea for longer than 3 minutes may cause a bitter taste; keep it light and fresh.
  • Adjust honey quantity based on your preferred sweetness level or substitute with a natural sweetener if desired.
  • You can use any seasonal fruits available, ensuring a colorful, flavorful soda.
  • For a more intense mint flavor, lightly bruise the mint leaves before garnishing.
  • Serve immediately after adding sparkling water to retain the carbonation.
