Ingredients

Strawberry Glaze

  • 5½ ounces strawberries, about 1 heaping cup, hulled and quartered
  • 2½ tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon water

Strawberry Smoothie

  • 1 medium banana, frozen
  • 1⅓ cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup Malk almond milk, vanilla flavor
  • ⅓ medium ripe avocado
  • 2½ medium medjool dates, pitted
  • 2 scoops Vital Proteins vanilla collagen
  • 1 tablespoon Grade A maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon flax meal
  • 1 tablespoon NeoCell hyaluronic acid
  • 1½ tablespoons unflavored sea moss (optional)

For the Cup

  • 1 pouch Zuma Valley Organic Frozen Coconut Cream, partially thawed in warm water

Instructions

  1. Make the Strawberry Glaze: Add the strawberries, sugar, fresh lemon juice, and water into a small saucepan. Place over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the glaze thickens and the strawberries release their juices. Remove from heat and allow to cool as the glaze continues to thicken.
  2. Prepare the Strawberry Smoothie: Add the frozen banana, frozen strawberries, vanilla almond milk, ripe avocado, pitted medjool dates, vanilla collagen scoops, maple syrup, flax meal, hyaluronic acid, and sea moss (if using) into a blender. Blend on high speed until the mixture is thick and creamy, ensuring all ingredients are smoothly combined.
  3. Assemble the Drink: Spoon three scoops of the cooled strawberry glaze into different spots inside each cup for best distribution. Next, cut one corner of the partially thawed coconut cream pouch and squeeze some of the cream into the cup, repeating for the second cup as well. Pour the blended smoothie evenly into the cups on top of the glaze and coconut cream layers. Insert a straw and serve immediately for the perfect balance of creaminess, fruity glaze, and smoothie flavors.

Notes

  • The strawberry glaze can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated. Reheat gently before using.
  • Adjust the sweetness by altering the sugar in the glaze or maple syrup in the smoothie to your taste.
  • The sea moss is optional but adds extra nutrients; omit if you prefer.
  • For a dairy-free and vegan option, ensure the collagen powder is plant-based or omit it.
  • Frozen fruit ensures a chilled, thick texture without the need for ice.
  • Use ripe avocados for creaminess, but avoid overly soft or brown spots.
