This Healthy Breakfast Pizza is a delightful combination of fresh ingredients and wholesome flavors, perfect for starting your day with a nutritious yet indulgent meal. Featuring a crispy pizza crust topped with melted mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, juicy cherry tomatoes, green onions, fresh basil, and baked eggs, this recipe balances protein and vegetables in a satisfying breakfast dish.

Ingredients

Pizza Base

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Cheese Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup shredded parmesan

Vegetables and Herbs

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup basil leaves

Eggs and Seasonings

  • 3 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) to ensure it’s hot enough to cook the pizza evenly and create a crisp crust.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Stretch or roll out the pizza dough into a round shape at least 12 inches in diameter and transfer it onto a pizza stone or an oiled rimmed baking sheet to prevent sticking and to aid in even baking.
  3. Brush with Olive Oil: Using a brush, evenly coat the surface of the dough with olive oil. This adds flavor and helps the cheese and toppings adhere.
  4. Add Cheese and Vegetables: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and parmesan evenly over the dough. Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes and sliced green onions on top, followed by half of the fresh basil leaves for aromatic freshness.
  5. Add the Eggs and Season: Carefully crack the eggs directly over the toppings to keep them intact. Then sprinkle sea salt and ground black pepper over the entire pizza for seasoning.
  6. Bake the Pizza: Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes for runny yolks, or up to 12 minutes if you prefer the eggs cooked through.
  7. Finish and Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven, sprinkle the remaining fresh basil leaves on top, and let it rest for a few minutes to set before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Storage – Store leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days to maintain freshness.
  • Reheat – Warm leftovers gently in a microwave or oven just until heated through to avoid overcooking the eggs and drying out the crust.
