Made by combining crumbled Christmas Tree Cakes with sprinkles, then coated with smooth white chocolate and drizzled with red candy melts, these truffles offer a fun and visually appealing dessert that’s quick to prepare and sure to impress.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 box of Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (5 cakes)
  • 8 ounces white chocolate or candy melts
  • 3 tablespoons festive sprinkles

Decorations

  • 3 tablespoons red candy melts (for drizzling, optional)
  • Green sanding sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cake Mixture: Unwrap the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them in a large bowl. Use a handheld mixer to blend the cakes until a crumbly dough forms, then mix in the festive sprinkles evenly.
  2. Shape the Truffles: Using a tablespoon, scoop portions of the cake mixture and roll each between the palms of your hands to form balls. Place each ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Continue until all the dough is shaped.
  3. Melt the White Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate or candy melts by heating in short increments (20-30 seconds), stirring in between, or use a double boiler until smooth and fully melted.
  4. Coat the Truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled cake ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing it back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Prepare the Red Candy Drizzle: Melt the red candy melts in a piping bag or ziplock bag in the microwave in 30-second increments, massaging the bag between sessions until completely melted.
  6. Drizzle and Decorate: Snip a small edge of the bag and drizzle the red candy melts over the coated truffles. Sprinkle green sanding sugar on top for a festive finish. Place the truffles in the fridge for a few minutes to allow the coating and drizzle to set before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the cake balls are well chilled before dipping; this will help the chocolate coating set faster and prevent melting.
  • Use parchment paper to avoid sticking and make cleanup easier.
  • You can substitute white chocolate with any candy melts flavor of your choice to customize the taste and color.
  • If you don’t have red candy melts, use red-colored icing or omit the drizzle entirely.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
