Perfect for indulging in a decadent dessert or a sweet refreshment on a warm day.

Ingredients

Salted Caramel Milkshake:

  • 4 cups (8 scoops) vanilla ice cream, softened
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup salted caramel sauce

Whipped Cream:

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 1 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract

Rim & Glass:

  • Extra salted caramel sauce

Garnish:

  • Salted caramel sauce
  • Toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Milkshake: Add the softened vanilla ice cream, whole milk, and salted caramel sauce into a blender. Blend the mixture until it is smooth and creamy. If you prefer a stronger caramel flavor, feel free to add a little more salted caramel sauce and blend again.
  2. Make the Whipped Cream: Using a chilled mixing bowl and beaters, whip the chilled heavy cream until it begins to form soft peaks. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then continue beating until the cream reaches stiff peaks and holds its shape. Set aside.
  3. Decorate the Glass (Optional): Pour a small amount of salted caramel sauce onto a plate, dip the back of a spoon into it, and smear it along the inside walls of the serving glass for a decorative effect. Alternatively, fill a small ziplock bag with salted caramel sauce, cut off a tiny tip, and pipe the caramel along the rim of the glass allowing it to drip down the sides.
  4. Assemble the Milkshake: Pour the blended milkshake into the prepared glass, filling it a few inches below the top to allow room for toppings without spilling.
  5. Add Toppings and Serve: Generously pile the whipped cream on top of the milkshake, then drizzle extra salted caramel sauce over the cream. Sprinkle with toffee bits for a crunchy finish. Enjoy your rich and indulgent salted caramel milkshake immediately.

Notes

  • For a thicker milkshake, use less milk or add more ice cream.
  • You can substitute salted caramel sauce with homemade caramel sauce and add a pinch of sea salt.
  • To make this recipe dairy-free, use coconut milk ice cream and full-fat coconut milk, and replace heavy cream with a dairy-free whipped topping.
  • Serve immediately after preparation for the best texture and flavor.
  • Toffee bits can be substituted with crushed nuts or chocolate chips for variety.
