Ingredients

Nutter Butter Crust

  • 32 Nutter Butter cookies (approx. 4 cups crumbs)
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Peanut Butter Filling

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz.)
  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter

Toppings

  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • ½ cup roasted peanuts
  • 12 Nutter Butter cookies, chopped
  • ¾ cup Reese’s Pieces candy
  • Flaky sea salt (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy removal of bars.
  2. Make the Nutter Butter Crust: Crush 32 Nutter Butter cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor, blender, or by placing in a zip-top bag and rolling with a rolling pin. In a large bowl, mix the cookie crumbs with brown sugar and salt. Stir in the melted butter until fully combined.
  3. Press Crust into Pan: Using a glass or flat-bottomed measuring cup, firmly press the crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form a compact crust layer.
  4. Prepare the Peanut Butter Filling: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt ¼ cup creamy peanut butter by heating it for about 30 seconds. Stir in the entire can of sweetened condensed milk until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  5. Assemble the Bars: Evenly sprinkle the peanut butter chips and roasted peanuts over the crust. Pour the peanut butter and condensed milk filling over the toppings. Next, scatter the chopped Nutter Butter cookies and Reese’s Pieces candy on top.
  6. Press Toppings Into Filling: Gently use a spatula or fork to press all the toppings slightly into the filling layer, helping them adhere securely.
  7. Add Optional Sea Salt: If desired, sprinkle flaky sea salt evenly on top for a hint of salty contrast.
  8. Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown and the filling is set.
  9. Cool and Chill: Remove from the oven and set the pan on a wire rack to cool completely. Then refrigerate the bars to firm up before slicing.
  10. Serve with Peanut Butter Drizzle: Just before serving, melt 2 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter in the microwave and drizzle it decoratively over the chilled bars for extra peanut butter flavor and presentation.

Notes

  • Pressing the crust firmly into the pan ensures a stable base for the bars.
  • Use parchment paper with overhangs for easy removal of the entire block of bars.
  • Chilling the bars thoroughly before slicing helps achieve clean cuts.
  • Flaky sea salt is optional but enhances the sweet and salty flavor balance.
  • You can substitute peanut butter chips with butterscotch or white chocolate chips for variation.
