This Turkey and Stuffing Crescent Ring is a festive and comforting dish perfect for using leftover turkey and stuffing. Wrapped in buttery crescent rolls and baked until golden brown, it combines savory layers of turkey, stuffing, spinach, cranberry sauce, and melted monterey jack cheese. Served with warm gravy in the center, this ring makes a delightful appetizer or main course ideal for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Crescent Ring

  • 2 (8 ounce) tubes crescent rolls
  • 1 cup leftover shredded cooked turkey
  • Salt, pepper, and garlic powder, to taste
  • 1 cup leftover cooked stuffing
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves (optional)
  • ½ cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 2 teaspoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning

For Serving

  • 1 cup turkey or chicken gravy

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a large cookie sheet by laying a piece of parchment paper on it and lightly spraying with nonstick spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Form crescent base: Place a small bowl in the center of the cookie sheet; this will later hold the gravy. Unroll the tubes of crescent rolls and arrange the triangular dough pieces around the bowl in an overlapping sun-shape pattern, ensuring the tips point outward and the wide ends overlap around the bowl.
  3. Add turkey layer: Evenly layer the shredded cooked turkey around the inner edge of the crescent roll circle, close to the bowl. Season the turkey with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste if desired.
  4. Layer stuffing: Spread the leftover cooked stuffing evenly over the turkey layer, covering it uniformly.
  5. Add spinach: Distribute fresh spinach leaves evenly over the stuffing layer, adding a fresh vegetable element.
  6. Spread cranberry sauce: Spoon and spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the spinach layer, providing a sweet and tart contrast.
  7. Top with cheese: Sprinkle the shredded monterey jack cheese evenly over the cranberry sauce layer.
  8. Wrap the ring: Carefully pull the wide ends of the crescent rolls over the layered fillings and tuck the edges under the base of the ring to enclose the filling completely. Remove the central bowl after sealing the ring.
  9. Brush with butter mixture: Combine the melted butter with poultry seasoning and brush this mixture generously over the entire crescent roll ring to enhance browning and flavor.
  10. Bake: Place the ring in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are fully cooked and golden brown on top.
  11. Serve with gravy: After baking, return the small bowl to the center of the ring and pour warm turkey or chicken gravy into it. Cut the crescent ring into segments and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian variation, substitute turkey and gravy with plant-based alternatives and omit poultry seasoning.
  • Fresh spinach is optional but adds a nice layer of texture and nutrients.
  • Use leftover turkey and stuffing for convenience and to minimize food waste.
  • The gravy bowl not only holds the sauce but also helps shape the crescent ring evenly.
  • Brush the crescent rolls with butter and poultry seasoning to enhance flavor and promote browning.
  • Ensure the crescent rolls are sealed well to keep the fillings inside while baking.
  • Serve warm for best taste and texture.
