Ingredients

Crust

  • 22 regular Oreo cookies
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Ganache

  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, coarsely chopped

Filling

  • 1 cup heavy cream, cold
  • 8 ounces full-fat brick cream cheese, softened
  • 1 and 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Toppings (optional)

  • Whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup Reese’s Pieces, crushed
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Process the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed bag and crushing them. Mix the crumbs with the melted butter until evenly combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of a pie dish to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and let it cool completely.
  2. Make the ganache: In a small saucepan, heat 3/4 cup of heavy cream until it just reaches a boil. Pour the hot cream over the coarsely chopped semi-sweet chocolate in a bowl. Let it sit for a minute, then stir gently until the chocolate is fully melted and the ganache is smooth. Set aside to cool to room temperature.
  3. Prepare the filling: Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, beat the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form and set aside. In another large bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, creamy peanut butter, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold the whipped heavy cream into the peanut butter mixture until fully combined and light.
  4. Assemble the pie: Spread the peanut butter filling evenly over the cooled Oreo crust. Then carefully pour and spread the cooled chocolate ganache over the peanut butter filling, ensuring an even layer.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate the pie for at least 6 hours or preferably overnight to allow it to set and flavors to meld.
  6. Garnish and serve: Before serving, optionally top the pie with whipped cream, crushed Reese’s Pieces, and chopped peanuts for added texture and decoration.

Notes

  • For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and peanut butter to ensure a rich and creamy texture.
  • Make sure the crust is completely cooled before adding the filling to prevent it from becoming soggy.
  • The pie must chill for at least 6 hours; overnight chilling is recommended for optimal flavor and firmness.
  • Optional toppings add both texture and visual appeal but can be omitted for a simpler presentation.
  • This pie is best served chilled and consumed within 3-4 days for freshness.
